Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering at the Gokhale Education Society’s R. H. Sapat College of Engineering was established in July 2010 and has now completed fourteen years of successful operation. The department has a track record of producing quality engineers who have brought great laurels to the institute, society, and the nation at large. To further enhance the quality of education, the department introduced the post-graduate course M.E. (Digital Systems).

The department is composed of a blend of experienced, young, dynamic, and expert staff members, including Dr. S.P. Agnihotri as the Head of the Department, Dr. M. P. Joshi, Dr. A. S. Patel, Mrs. H. H. Kulkarni, Mr. D. M. Raut, Dr. K. V. Karad, Mr. P. D. Lokhande, Mrs. S. Mansoori, Mrs. G. R. Kawale, and Mrs. S. C. Saraf along with technical support team members like Mr. C K Vaidya, and Mr. P S Pagere who are all creative and enthusiastic professionals with diverse backgrounds.

The department follows workshop-based learning, project-based learning, and industrial-visit-based learning as teaching-learning methods. It is equipped with the necessary facilities to cater to different domains such as Power Electronics, PLC & Automation, Antenna & Amplifier, Microwave, VLSI, Soft Computing, etc. The department conducts workshops and seminars in various domains to enhance the skills of students. Through the Entrepreneurship and Innovation cell, the department helps students achieve innovation and start-up activities.

The Department has accomplished several major feats, including workshops, in-plant training, industrial visits, live projects, expert seminars, technical events, and project exhibitions. Students from the department are working on various projects such as Multidisciplinary base, In-house, Cross-domain, Product Development, and industry-sponsored. Apart from academics, the department is making efforts to develop students’ overall mental ability, including Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, General Aptitude, GD & PI, and GATE examination preparation.
